St Charbel's Grotto in Bekaa Kafra, North Lebanon

St Charbel's Grotto and the miraculous water is situated in Bekaa kafra, North Lebanon. When St Charbel went to pray as a boy at his village grotto on a daily basis he always carried incense, a photo of the Virgin Mary, flowers and a candle. It was from this grotto that God called him to holiness.

After St Charbel's death, people passing there saw a strange light emerging from the grotto. Father Moubarak Makhlouf was attracted to this light and went to pray his rosary in the grotto. Then he saw St Charbel in his dream asking him three times to build a church near the grotto bearing his name.

Construction began to build the church. One day the workers became thirsty and one of his relatives called out to St Charbel saying: “Water, St Charbel” !! Immediately after, a water jet appeared from the ground. “Our visitors will drink from this water, and it will heal the soul and the body of whom will drink it with faith". Said St Charbel from heaven

People from around the world have come to the grotto to drink the water and receive a miracle from St Charbel. It remains till now a source of water which never runs dry.
