Celebrate the mystery of the Incarnation with this Nativity of Christ icon, inspired by the rich visual language of Syriac and Middle Eastern medieval manuscript illumination. This sacred scene depicts the Birth of Jesus in Bethlehem, bringing together the Theotokos reclining in contemplation, the Christ Child in the manger, attending angels, shepherds, and the midwives—elements deeply rooted in ancient Eastern Christian tradition.

Printed directly onto a natural wood plaque, this icon preserves the warmth, texture, and organic grain of the wood, echoing the handmade character of historic illuminated manuscripts. The vivid mineral colors, gold accents, and ornamental borders evoke early Christian Gospel books, making this piece both a devotional object and a work of sacred art.

Perfect for Christmas décor, prayer corners, home altars, monasteries, and churches, this Nativity icon serves as a visual catechesis—inviting meditation on humility, incarnation, and divine light entering the world. It is also a meaningful Christian gift for Christmas, Epiphany, clergy, seminarians, or lovers of Byzantine and Syriac iconography.

Features:

  • High-resolution sacred art print on sustainably sourced wood

  • Natural wood grain visible for a warm, timeless appearance

  • Inspired by Syriac manuscript illumination

  • Durable, lightweight, and ready to display

  • Ideal for Christmas devotion, liturgical spaces, and sacred art collections

This Nativity wood icon plaque beautifully bridges ancient tradition and modern craftsmanship—bringing the joy of Christ’s birth into your sacred space year after year.
