Metropolitan Makary (in the world - Michael; c. 1482, Moscow - December 31, 1563, Moscow) - Metropolitan of Moscow and All Russia (from 1542), in 1526-1542 - Archbishop of Novgorod. Supporter of Josephite, follower of Joseph Volotskiy. Canonized by the Russian Church as a saint.
