Jesus in the Temple

Jesus lived and was raised in the city of Nazareth. He grew, was strengthened in spirit, filled with wisdom, and the grace of God was upon Him. Every year His earthly parents went to Jerusalem for the Passover feast. When Jesus was twelve years old, they took him with them. After the end of the holiday, everyone returned home, but the boy Jesus remained in Jerusalem. Mary and Joseph did not notice this and thought that He was walking ahead with their other relatives. However, after a while they began to look for Him among relatives and acquaintances returning from Jerusalem. Not finding Him, they returned back to Jerusalem, and only three days later did they find Jesus in the temple, sitting in the midst of the teachers. He listened and asked them, and everyone present marveled at His reason and answers. The mother of Jesus was surprised that her obedient Son remained in the temple without warning her about it.
