Icon of the Mother of God "Minskaya"

The miraculous icon of the Blessed Virgin Mary "Minskaya" is one of the most revered shrines in Belarus. Tradition says that the Minsk Icon of the Mother of God was written by the Evangelist Luke at the insistence of fellow apostles and Christians. Seeing the work done, the Virgin Mary blessed her first icon and admonished it as a visible sign of her constant grace-filled presence among people, saying that the grace of God will always be with this icon.
