Icon of the Mother of God "Helper at Childbirth"

From time immemorial, in moments of severe suffering at the birth of children, when death is so close, women have recourse with especially fervent prayer to the Savior and His Most Pure Mother. In pious families and in our time, you can see the icon of the Mother of God, called "Help in childbirth." On it, the Mother of God is depicted standing tall with her hands raised for prayer and with the Eternal Child in her bosom
