Athanasius of Brest, saint

Athanasius of Brest-Litovsk is a saint and hieromartyr of the Russian Orthodox Church and the Polish Orthodox Church. He was killed by Catholics for opposition to the Union of Brest. Athanasius is commemorated on September 5.
